Our Story

A journey of serendipity, laughter, and endless love. It all began with a chance meeting, blossomed into a deep friendship, and evolved into a bond that neither time nor distance could break. How We Met

Our journey began in January 2022, when Tomi came to my office for a business meeting about advertising services. As the contact person, I (Dami) exchanged information with him. Little did I know, we were both part of a Movie lovers’ group chat, and Tomi reintroduced himself after the meeting. He didn’t reveal his intentions until a few months later. One random day in April, he commented on my status about the Batman movie, and from that moment on, our conversations flowed effortlessly. Soon enough, we started dating.

Why We Fell in Love

Falling in love was effortless. From day one, we always had something to talk about, spending 3-4 hours chatting daily as we got to know each other. Tomi’s interesting and intelligent nature captivated me, and his responses to my questions were always thoughtful and kind. His demeanor—sweet, kind, and with an infectious sense of humor—never failed to brighten my day. Although we didn’t meet up immediately, our connection grew stronger during the month we spent talking. Our first date was a movie, and though we were both nervous initially, the comfort and connection we felt soon melted all the anxiety away. That feeling has only grown stronger over time.

The Proposal

Tomi proposed in February 2024. Earlier that month, he mentioned we wouldn’t spend Valentine’s Day together because of work, but he suggested a pre-Valentine’s Day celebration on February 10th. When he picked me up that morning, I had no idea what he had planned. At his apartment, I was greeted by a trail of petals on the floor, a table set for two with an array of goodies, and the most romantic setting in a separate room. Tomi then got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
